Some help please … the CM English translation is given as ‘I was going to repair the car’. Can ‘przygotować’ mean ‘to repair’? I’ve only encountered it as ‘to prepare’. Thanks!

Good catch! “Przygotować” can only mean “to prepare” / “to get sth ready”, never “to repair”. So this is just an odd mistranslation.
