The translation given is “you’re number one” but this seems to say “She is number one” according to Google and the fact that Lei means “She”. Is this an incorrect sentence or is there another way of translating this to you that I can’t figure out?
“Lei” is also the polite address in Italian. The phrase can mean both things.
I think some answers seem to need the answer in Formal. I have answered “avevi” and “eri” a couple of times to find that “aveva” and “era” were correct.
