Hence, it\u2019s crucial to get familiar with the <strong>stare <\/strong>conjugation and its different meanings.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the situation, <strong>stare<\/strong> can be translated as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To stay<\/li>\n<li>To be<\/li>\n<li>To remain<\/li>\n<li>To be situated<\/li>\n<li>To live<\/li>\n<li>To be about to (when followed by a verb in the infinitive form).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this article, you\u2019ll learn how to conjugate and use it properly in every situation.<\/p>\n<h2><em>Stare<\/em> Conjugation in the Indicative Present Tense<\/h2>\n<p><em>Stare<\/em> is an intransitive verb, meaning that it does not take a direct object. It\u2019s also an irregular verb and it does not follow the pattern of the verbs ending in \u201c-are\u201d. Since <em>stare<\/em> is an intransitive verb, its compound tenses are formed by adding the auxiliary <em>essere<\/em> (to be).<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Stare<\/em> Conjugation: Present Perfect Tense<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Present Perfect is the most used tense to talk about past actions. He must be stuck at work.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong><strong>Subjunctive Tense of\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong>Stare<\/h2>\n<p>The subjunctive is the mood of uncertainty and is often introduced in Italian by the conjunction \u201cche\u201d (that). It is often used to express opinions, hope, wishes, assumptions, feelings, doubts or hypotheses.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Present Subjunctive<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The present subjunctive of stare conjugation has the same three endings for all singular persons. This verbal mode is used to talk about actions or situations that are conditioned by other actions, or to express impossible situations, or an information that the speaker is unsure about.
