In this case, it is the simple past tense of the verb \u201c<strong>haben<\/strong>\u201d (such as\u00a0<em>hatte)<\/em>\u00a0followed by the third-person form of \u201c<strong>haben<\/strong>\u201d just as with any other verb in the future tense, the helper verb \u201c<strong>werden<\/strong>\u201d (<em>to become<\/em>) is used together with the infinitive form of the verb to drive to the airport<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2>The Conjugation of the Verb \u201cHaben\u201d \u2013 Future Perfect <em>(Futur II<\/em>)<\/h2>\n<p>Just like with other verbs in the future perfect (or <em>Futur II<\/em>), this tense is used to describe events that will take place in the future, but will have already been finalized at the point when you are talking about them.<\/p>\n<p>For the verb \u201c<strong>haben<\/strong>\u201d this means that the helper verb \u201cwerden\u201d (<em>to become<\/em>) is used here as well, along with two forms of the actual verb \u201c<strong>haben<\/strong>\u201d: one comes with the prefix <strong>ge<\/strong>\u2014, the other one is the actual verb \u201c<strong>haben<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This \u201cdoubling\u201d of
