Most common ways to say \u201cthank you\u201d in Polish<\/strong><\/h2>\n

These four simple phrases will let you show your appreciation in a variety of contexts.<\/p>\n

Dzi\u0119kuj\u0119<\/a> (\u201cthank you\u201d)<\/i><\/strong><\/h3>\n

This is the default, most common way of thanking someone in Polish<\/strong>.\u00a0Just like \u201cthank you\u201d in English, it works great in both formal and informal situations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whether you’d like to say \u201cthank you\u201d in Polish to your boss, your taxi driver or your friend,\u00a0dzi\u0119kuj\u0119 <\/em>will always be a safe bet. It’s friendly and elegant, but not overstated.<\/p>\n

This is one of the most popular responses to \u201cthank you\u201d in Polish, and definitely the most humble one.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The literal meaning of this phrase is somewhat close to \u201cthere’s nothing to thank for\u201d, though you can also remember it as an equivalent of \u201cnot at all\u201d or \u201cdon’t mention it\u201d.<\/p>\n

A more colloquial variant of\u00a0nie ma za co<\/em> is\u00a0nie ma sprawy<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Prosz\u0119<\/a> \/ prosz\u0119 bardzo<\/a>\u00a0 (\u201cyou are welcome\u201d)<\/i><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Prosz\u0119<\/em> is a very versatile Polish word.\u00a0Though it\u00a0is most commonly used as \u201cplease\u201d, it can also mean \u201cyou are welcome\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n
